Polyurethane Products

FTL Technology prides itself in its ability to provide sealing and engineered solutions to its customers.

This means that we must have at our disposal an armoury of techniques and materials with which to solve problems, this is "know how".

Polyurethane is such a versatile material that space will not permit all possible applications to be listed here, suffice to say that the number of possible applications are probably only limited by the inventiveness of your mind.

Put crudely, polyurethanes fall, in terms of material characteristics between rubbers and plastics. That is they are rubber like and so good at returning to their original shape after loading and they are exceptionally tough and wear resistant at temperatures up to approximately 90°C.

This makes solid homogeneous polyurethane (of which there are three broad families) particularly suitable for articles such as seals, tyres, rollers, wear parts and many more.

A range of microcellular elastomers also exist. These exhibit exceptional energy absorbing characteristics and because of their almost uniform deformation versus load curves, are well suited for shock absorbing type applications.

FTL Technology Meridian and Proteus grades of Polyurethane elastomers can be cast , moulded, machine turned, sprayed or coated. All are readily available and ready to help solve your problems.
