Polyurethane Elastomers - Versatility, Strength and Resilience

The Polyurethane component range available from FTL Technology is ideal for a wide range of applications thanks to its outstanding properties.

The huge variety and versatility of Polyurethane elastomers mean that they are widely used throughout industry where mechanical properties such as high rebound resilience, very low abrasion loss, exceptionally low compression set and high thermal stability (up to approximately 90(C) are important.

FTL Technology's engineers use this versatility to its full advantage when providing sealing and engineered solutions to its customers.

The inherent toughness and excellent wear characteristics make Polyurethane the ideal material with which to make seals, tyres and wear parts. Its ability to be cast, moulded, machine turned or spray coated means that it can be applied to any shape or form regardless how complex.

FTL Technology offer three grades of Polyurethane elastomer, two solid homogeneous and one cellular. The solid homogeneous grades are the Premium thermosetting Meridian grade and the thermoplastic Proteus, cost effective, grade. The cellular grade of material is particularly suited to bump stop or damping applications. All are available in their raw state as sheets and blocks or can be supplied fully finished.
